  • UMTS Forum - The UMTS Forum promotes the introduction and development of the Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) a third generation mobile communications system.
  • CDMA development Group - The CDMA Development Group (CDG) is a consortium of the world's premier wireless companies, is leading the evolution of CDMA wireless systems around the world.
    • CDMA Usage Statistics- The CDMA Development group provides global and country-specific statistics on the state of deployment for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology.
  • GSM world The GSM Association is the premier global body behind the world's leading wireless communications standard. It is responsible for the development, deployment and evolution of the GSM standard for digital wireless communications and for the promotion of the GSM platform.
  • 3GPP - Third Generation Partnership Project -Develops 3G standards for carriers who currently have TDMA systems (ANSI-136 or GSM) installed. Standards being developed are GPRS, EDGE, Wideband CDMA and UMTS. This group is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing GSM standards in its TSG-GERAN.
  • 3GPP2 - Third Generation Partnership Project Two - Develops 3G standards for carriers who currently have CDMA systems (e.g. IS-95 or TIA/EIA-95) installed. This group works closely with TIA TR-45.5 that originally was responsible for CDMA standards, as well as other TR-45 subcommittees - TR-45.2 (network), TR-45.4 ("A" interface) and TR-45.6 (packet data).

  • TIA Online - Standards and Technology . TIA hosted an session on global wireless standards, in conjunction with the 1998 International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Plenipotentiary Conference. The informational session addressed current second-generation and other fixed wireless and mobile wireless standards and technologies. The session also provided a status report on efforts towards third-generation global standards for IMT-2000, the ITU initiative to make possible a universal/wireless technology.
  • Decode Systems - Decode Systems is a consultancy and information resource center for various communication, computer, and electronic subjects. Includes cellular, satellite, trunking and smart card systems
  • Bluetooth - The official website of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). It offers background information and updates on Bluetooth technology Development and products, membership information, and copies if SIGnals, the SIG Newsletter.
  • Project25.org - The Project25 process developed the 102 series of detailed technical specifications for digital, land mobile radio communications systems. The process was led by a users' Steering Committee, and the standardization work was done by the Telecommunications Industry Association in accordance with their standards process as defined in their engineering manual.
