Great post! So now the Captivate 5 is out and I tried the Mac version. I still cannot find a easy way to address this issue. Does anyone find better ways in Captivate 5?

Stephen Conroy and US at odds on net filter

The Obama administration has questioned the Rudd government's plan to introduce an internet filter, saying it runs contrary to the US's foreign policy of encouraging an open internet to spread economic growth and global security.

I can't tell you what a great post this was! I've been trying to debug avi export issue for 1/2 day and stumbled on this after reading "Tips to Publish to AVI in Adobe Captivate" link. I was trying to sych an imported FLV with animation I had overlaid on same slide. Export to SWF, PDF worked great. But during avi export my machine kept hanging (SWF to AVI conversion).

Then I set Output Options | Video Format to "MJPEG Compressor" and under Preferences | Project | SWF Size and Quality I changed "Settings" to "Custom", unchecked all check boxes in the dialogue area and moved "JPEG" to 100%. VOILA! A perfect, fine looking, fine sounding avi export!

Cheers, Jonathan

This answered many of my questions. Thanks so much for a nice summary!
BTW, I found some of my tutorials using Indeo video 5.10 could play in RealPlayer with no problem.

This was hugely helpful! I was about to waste a LOT of time (because each encoding takes at least a half hour on my machine) doing similar experiments. I was surprised at getting such huge files (e.g. 9.5GB for a 5-minute video) but didn't think of using Adobe Media Encoder to clean it up.

Thanks for an outstanding post!!!
